Description
A whole bourbon vanilla bean sits in the jar with the demerara, perfuming it slowly from the inside. The longer it sits the stronger it gets, which makes this one of the few things in a pantry that's better six months from now than it is today.
When the sugar runs out, the bean hasn't. Scrape it into a batch of cookies, or bury it in a fresh jar of sugar and start the whole thing again. The demerara is grown and processed in Mauritius, which has been making cane sugar for centuries.
Ingredients
Demerara sugar, bourbon vanilla bean.
Allergens
Free of all nine major U.S. allergens.
Certifications
Non-GMO Project Verified. cRc Kosher Certified.

Store airtight, away from moisture. The bean keeps the sugar slightly damp, so break up any clumps with a fork.
