BAKING SUGARS

HARDENED MUSCOVADO SUGAR: Unrefined cane sugars naturally retain moisture and may firm over time. Seal airtight with a slice of apple or bread for 24 hours, or warm gently in a low oven and break apart before use.
COLOR VARIATION: Harvest, climate, and minimal processing cause natural variation from batch to batch. Flavor and performance remain consistent.
SUBSTITUTION FOR BROWN SUGAR: Muscovado may be substituted for brown sugar to add deeper molasses notes and a softer texture in baking and sauces.
SHELF LIFE: When stored airtight and dry, unrefined cane sugars keep indefinitely. If clumping occurs, soften before use.

NATURE’S COLORS & PLANT-BASED COLOR

NATURAL SEPARATION: Plant-based pigments are derived from fruits, vegetables, and spices. Separation is natural - gently shake to reincorporate.
STORAGE: Store tightly sealed at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. For best vibrancy, use within approximately 10 months of opening.
SOLUBILITY: All Nature’s Colors food colorings are water-soluble (glycerin-based) and not oil-soluble.
PRODUCT DEFINITION: Nature’s Colors is our clean-label collection of decorative sugars, sprinkles, and food colorings made with plant-based colorants.

SOURCING & INGREDIENTS

ORIGIN: Ingredients are sourced from long-standing partners in regions including Mauritius, Madagascar, and Vietnam, selected for flavor integrity and responsible production.
ORGANIC STATUS: Products are not certified organic. We prioritize ingredient quality, minimal processing, and sourcing integrity.
KOSHER CERTIFICATION: All India Tree products are cRc Kosher certified, except candied flowers containing carmine.

CARE, STORAGE & ORDERING

SPICE STORAGE: Store spices airtight in a cool, dark place away from heat and steam to preserve aroma and flavor.
AFTER OPENING: Sugars keep indefinitely when dry. Spices are best used within 1–2 years. Plant-based colors are best within approximately 10 months.
PURCHASING: Products are available at specialty retailers, through our online shop, and via our Amazon storefront. Wholesale customers may apply for a trade account.
