How to Use
- Tempering (Tadka)
- Heat 1–2 Tbsp oil; add 1 tsp seeds and let them pop 10–20 seconds before adding aromatics.
- Pickling Brine
- 1–2 tsp per cup brine; simmer 2–3 minutes to release aroma.
- Homemade Mustard
- Grind 1 Tbsp seeds; whisk with 1–2 Tbsp cold water (then vinegar/salt). Rest 10 minutes to develop heat.
- Spice Blends & Rubs
- 1 tsp ground per Tbsp rub; toast briefly before grinding for extra nuttiness.
